We always feel so much better after a good cry. How about you? Katie & Evee

Breathe For The Moment

24th February 20219th February 2021 ~ thegriefreality ~ 40 Comments

We live in the present, the only gift we have, and think of what could happen next. What plethora of opportunities there are, who we may meet, what songs we may hear.

How Do You Know You’ve Done The Right Thing?

23rd February 2021 ~ thegriefreality ~ 34 Comments

I think this is a poignant question, and one I think about often; especially as a young person being without their Mum. I think a question that is good to ask ourselves when we are trying to work out whether we have done the right thing, is how do we know when we have done the wrong thing?

#3 Thursday Thoughts: How Do You Relax?

18th February 20212nd February 2021 ~ thegriefreality ~ 101 Comments

We love watching a good series together, and going for walks! How about you? We would love to know 🙂

Revolt Against Valentines Day

13th February 202110th February 2021 ~ thegriefreality ~ 74 Comments

I've not really been one to ever let myself be overly emotional about relationships, so it wouldn't make sense for me to barrel full-force into oversized valentines day cards, stuffed bears carrying hearts and triumphantly pull out and a box of chocolates and say THIS IS IT. THIS IS THE ONE.

#2 Thursday Thoughts: What’s Your Relationship With Self-Love Like?

11th February 20212nd February 2021 ~ thegriefreality ~ 40 Comments

We want to know! Discuss in the comments below 🙂

#1 Thursday Thoughts: What Are You Grateful For?

4th February 20212nd February 2021 ~ thegriefreality ~ 48 Comments

Today I am grateful for my sleeping pattern returning to normal! After a bout of insomnia, sleep is welcome and never taken for granted.

A Sunset For You

3rd February 20212nd February 2021 ~ thegriefreality ~ 57 Comments

I know it feels like the end dates keep changing, but take a rest, close your eyes, inhale, exhale. Pick yourself up and we can carry on together.

A New Way To Journal

20th January 202120th January 2021 ~ thegriefreality ~ 28 Comments

I title each post-it "Dear" and the date. It is simple, but wonderful. Plus you don't harm the book in the process, which is a thought which brings me a lot of simple joy.

This post is from my post ‘The Things That Make Life Beautiful’ ❤️
I know it seems that this pandemic will never end, particularly as it follows us into a new year. Please know that you are not alone in your struggle. Mum used to remind us that if it’s not okay then its not the end, and now more than ever, I trust my mum. 💕
Dear You, In case no one has told you recently, I am really proud of you. I am really proud of you for showing up every day and getting through 2020. You got through the festive period during a pandemic while holding your grief, and you are still standing. I am really proud of you, and I hope you take the time to reflect on all that you have been through this year. It is no small feat.
