With this segment, I want to focus on how we can maintain our health and wellbeing. At the point of writing this, we are allowed one hour out of the house for exercise a day.
Quarantine has shut us into our homes whether we like it or not. Some of us, no doubt, are feeling claustrophobic, out of control, and slowly going crazy. I have a lot of advice to give on how to make rooms more enjoyable for you!
Sat at my desk today, the realisation that it's been 18 months didn’t bring my world crushing down around me as the anticipation of the 6 month mark did.
The snowflakes fell thick and fast, and I don’t even know how to handle myself. I had never seen snow like it. The flakes looked dark against the white sky.
Today, I feel successful. I woke up feeling energised, I woke up excited for my day. I made a very student lunch (chicken steak and barbecue sandwich), helped myself to a black coffee.
It makes me feel bad that my family have had to look after me so much. I hate being a burden, boring and a frustration. I hate that they had to wake up in the night to help me with medicines or when I was throwing up.
When I wake up, my heart doesn’t split into a thousand pieces. My head doesn’t pound with questions asking me why us, or how are we here. When I reach for a mug for my coffee, my hands don’t shake when I see Mum’s mug.
